We aspire to be the best solution for the Industrial customers' needs for MROP products and services through our Innovative Pumping Solutions, Metal Working, Supply Chain Services and Service Centers.</p> <p>Check out our many videos to learn more! http://www.dxpe.com/about-us/careers/</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Sales Professional include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Expand our existing business into new or underserved accounts through the sales of Rotating Equipment, as well as service/repair in the Columbus / Central Ohio region. </li><li>Either be, or become, a pump and Rotating Equipment technical expert, developing the technical expertise and focusing on the personal growth and development required for the job. </li><li>Be a team player. </li><li>Keep every commitment you make and do not over commit. </li><li>Be tenacious and assertive, but likeable as well. </li><li>Be customer focused, and customer driven. </li><li>Do what you say you will do when you say you will do it. </li><li>Develop and hone your listening skills and etiquette. </li><li>Safely operate a vehicle. </li><li>Be mindful of how you'll be perceived in all aspects of customer and channel partner communication and relationships. </li><li>Have a terrific attitude, dress appropriately, and be coachable. </li><li>Promptly respond to requests for information from channel partners and DXP leadership when needed. </li><li>Exhibiting excellent communication skills including writing, voicemail, and phone skills. </li><li>Deliver and present various product demos. </li><li>Develop, communicate, and execute strategic plans and accurate forecasts for accounts. </li><li>Establish and expand relationships with decision makers within each customer organization and channel partner based on credibility and likeability. </li><li>Integrate and further entrench yourself, and DXP, into the very fabric of our customers' businesses. </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and solve customers' Rotating Equipment problems for products that we represent. </li><li>Stay up to date on latest trends and technology in Rotating Equipment for the product lines we represent. </li><li>Log realized customer cost savings through DXP solutions (provide routine cost savings reports and have the customer agree to the savings when possible). </li><li>Perform strategic Rotating Equipment surveys at key customer accounts. </li><li>Maintain customer contacts within DXP CRM portals or tools. </li><li>Provide DXP leadership periodic reports for each key account highlighting any changes, service problems, challenges from competition, customer projects and initiatives, cost savings reports, etc. </li><li>Maintain an acceptable driving record according to company guidelines. </li><li>Service key accounts, after a period of training and transition. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications of the Sales Professional include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Must live within a 50-mile radius of Columbus, Ohio, or be willing to relocate to the area. </li><li>No sales experience necessary, but talent and drive are a must. </li><li>An engineering degree is very helpful; some technical background is a must. </li><li>Good mechanical feel for things. </li><li>Must be computer literate and able to learn and adapt to evolving technology with capability to develop strong skills with the Apple iPhone and iPad. </li><li>Must have customer-service oriented mentality. </li><li>Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills on the phone, in person and in front of a group. </li><li>Good analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Experience generating proposals and solutions and maintaining CRM leads and contacts. </li><li>Experience maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships with significant add-on/repeat business. </li><li>Organized, with a commitment to impeccable follow-up. </li><li>Tenacious, persistent, and great relationship building skills. </li><li>Self-starter demonstrated ability to work productively with minimal supervision. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Physical Demand: Light lifting 30-40 pounds, small parts, etc.</p> <p>Working Conditions: Driving to and from industrial customer locations and events; plant/industrial environment.</p> <p>Training/Certifications: Training will be provided along with self-training opportunities.</p> <p>Shift Time: 7:30am-4:30 PM. Successful candidate will be required to answer customer calls and complete customer requests outside of normal working hours to meet customer expectations.</p> <p>Travel: Mostly local travel upwards of 2-3 hours. Some overnight travel for supplier meetings and training will occur.</p> <p>Education: Technical degree preferred.
