<p>Architectural Drafter (Entry-Level)</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter - Entry-Level to support projects from pre-design through construction. This role is ideal for recent architecture graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience working on real projects, collaborating with consultants, and learning the full lifecycle of architectural design and construction documentation.</p> <p>You'll work closely with project managers, architects, and construction teams to produce accurate drawings, support permitting efforts, and ensure designs comply with zoning and building codes.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform initial zoning and building code reviews to support project feasibility and early planning</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in meetings with clients, owners, and internal project teams to gain exposure to the design process</p> </li><li> <p>Create preliminary sketches and concept drawings during the pre-design phase to support budgeting and estimating</p> </li><li> <p>Track and document design revisions and updates for comparison against cost estimates</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with establishing drawing schedules and managing drafting workloads</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with outside consultants by obtaining and tracking proposals for:</p> </li><li> <p>Civil engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Geotechnical borings</p> </li><li> <p>Landscape architecture</p> </li><li> <p>Represent the company professionally at municipal, zoning, and permitting meetings (with guidance and mentorship)</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with project managers and superintendents during the construction phase</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and submit building permit applications; track approvals and respond to jurisdictional comments</p> </li><li> <p>Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure consistency with design intent and construction documents</p> </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Studies, Drafting, or a related field</p> </li><li> <p>OR Associate's degree with a strong working knowledge of Revit</p> </li><li> <p>Entry-level to 2 years of experience (internships and co-ops encouraged)</p> </li><li> <p>Working proficiency in:</p> </li><li> <p>Revit (required)</p> </li><li> <p>AutoCAD</p> </li><li> <p>SketchUp</p> </li><li> <p>Basic understanding of:</p> </li><li> <p>Building codes and zoning regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Construction documents and permitting workflows</p> </li><li> <p>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams</p> </li><li> <p>Eagerness to learn and grow within an architectural and construction-focused environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
