<p>Annual Salary:</p> <p>$37,440.00 - $40,053.00</p> <p>Hourly:</p> <p>$19.20 - $20.54</p> <p>Department:</p> <p>Public Service, Public Service</p> <p>Division:</p> <p>Streets & Sidewalks</p> <p>FLSA:</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>In this role, you will keep facilities and surrounding areas in clean and orderly condition for visitors, tenants and/or rental customers.</p> <p>Examples of Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Dusts, sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums all floor space, porches, stairs, walls, duct and beam work, exhibit structures, overheads and restroom fixtures. </li><li>Waxes and buffs historic wood flooring in facilities, following specified maintenance schedule. </li><li>Cleans windows and other glass as necessary. </li><li>Polishes and maintains brass fixtures, wood trim, and other surfaces. </li><li>Replaces light bulbs in fixtures, overheads, and exhibit structures. </li><li>Empties trash and garbage containers. </li><li>May clean debris from sidewalk. </li><li>Notifies management concerning need for repairs or additions to the facilities. </li><li>Responds to questions from visitors, tenants and rental customers regarding the facility and general information. </li><li>May perform detailed cleaning of facilities following rental events. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school education or GED; and 6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li></ul> <p>Other Necessary Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled </li><li>In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City's needs. </li></ul> <p>The City of Charleston is firmly committed to Equal Employment Opportunity ( EEOC) as a fundamental policy to be implemented and observed in our daily operation.
