Central Coast High School is a continuation school which serves students who have previously been academically unsuccessful as well as students who desire an alternative high school setting. Our ideal candidate is someone who is focused on equitable educational opportunities and desires to work with underserved students and seeks to be involved in shifting the life trajectories of our students. Moreover, our ideal candidate is someone with a proven track record of working with students who have not succeeded in the traditional environment. Some of our students are systems involved and some have exhibited concerning behavior in the past. All of our students need someone with the experience, love, and knowledge required to support them. The schedule envisioned for the school year involves teaching Integrated Math 2, Financial Literacy and also credit recovery classes. The workday for Central Coast High School is 8:00am to 3:30pm, though classes run from 9:00am to 2:02pm. All teachers have a common prep from 8:00-9:00 and then a collaboration time daily from 2:15-3:30.
