<p>Job Description</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>Registration Specialist - Plastic Surgery</p> <p>Location: Methodist Professional Center (Onsite)</p> <p>Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM (No weekends or holidays)</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Registration Specialist to join our Plastic Surgery team at Methodist Professional Center. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to scheduling, while maintaining accuracy in financial and demographic records.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Pre-register patients and verify insurance information </li><li>Manage patient check-in and scheduling </li><li>Direct patients/visitors appropriately </li><li>Collect payments and explain department/hospital policies </li><li>Maintain accurate records to support clinical outcomes and reimbursement </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) </li><li>Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT preferred) </li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to meet benchmarks </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting </li><li>Familiarity with EMR systems </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes </li><li>Customer service experience </li></ul>
