Master's Degree preferred </li><li>Five years teaching in the field of Special Education required </li><li>Valid Texas Teacher Certificate </li><li>Specialized knowledge in transition and autism preferred </li><li>Recommended by the Executive Director </li><li>Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Executive Director may find appropriate and acceptable </li></ul> <p>EMPHASIS</p> <ul> <li>Transition </li><li>Autism </li></ul> <p>CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Process all personal timekeeping, travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner </li><li>Maintain professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job position. </li><li>Demonstrate punctual and regular attendance on the job </li><li>Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities </li><li>Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC </li><li>Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC </li><li>Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures </li><li>Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor </li><li>Incorporate appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor </li><li>Exhibit professionalism in all situations at the ESC </li><li>Develop collaborative and positive relationships with schools and co-workers </li><li>Exhibit planning and leadership on assigned tasks and projects </li><li>Ability to take initiative and exhibit innovative thinking </li><li>Keep supervisor advised of all pertinent financial and operations business </li><li>Ability to handle constructive criticism in a positive manner </li><li>Evidence of following-up and following-through with services </li><li>Evidence of professional loyalty </li><li>Other duties assigned by supervisor </li></ul> <p>DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Ability to handle and see to completion multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline </li><li>Demonstrates positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills </li><li>Be willing to work as a member of a team but also independently </li><li>Upholds confidentiality of the information processed in all work, if required </li><li>Attends all called meetings including departmental staff meetings, work team meetings, and general staff meetings </li><li>Actively contributes to assigned work teams </li><li>Develops and competently implements an individual work plan that clearly contributes to the accomplishment of departmental, , Leadership and Instruction Team (LIT), and organizational goals </li><li>Analyzes metrics, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts optimize impact of work </li><li>Demonstrates a commitment to provide exceptional customer service </li><li>Delivers exceptional professional learning experiences </li></ul> <p>POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Provide supports for Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) </li><li>Provide Special Education Support alongside General Education in the areas of MTSS (RTI Behavior) Tier 2/3, Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS), School Climate, Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning to help support students with behavioral challenges in Schoolwide and Classroom Environments </li><li>Provide High Quality Technical Assistance and Professional Development to LEAs in the areas of Transition and Autism </li><li>Evaluate the impact of training, products and services on the performance of students receiving special education services </li><li>Complete and maintain SBIEP training TOT and coaching requirements to oversee the required metrics and Fidelity of Implementation rubric requirements </li><li>Create, track, maintain and successfully meet goal metrics for assigned network/initiative activities [Transition and Autism] </li><li>Collaborate with department staff to maintain, track and report SECIP goal activity for quarterly reporting </li><li>Participate in designated local and state (e.g. networks) professional development activities, share information with ESC staff and appropriate regional personnel </li><li>Act as the first point of contact for LEAs, parents, agencies and other stakeholders in the areas of Autism and Transition procedures for students grade ECSE - Graduation </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Travel (meaning to drive one's own vehicle) to and from LEAs to fulfill program and project specifications are required. Out of region travel may also be required. </li><li>Coordinate and deliver effective training, staff development, and technical assistance in areas pertinent to the program or project. </li><li>Process required paperwork and reports in a timely manner </li><li>Model effective uses of technology in personal productivity and instructional applications </li></ul> <p>SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Additional projects as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT</p> <ul> <li>Up to 226 working days </li><li>This is an at-will employment position. </li></ul> <p>In the event of an economic slump, a reduction-in-force may be necessary.
