<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Project Development: Assists with the development and management of projects and programs (SPATS, APCOG C-Program, and Enhancements) and other projects within the RPG including assisting with the STIP processes, project scoping meetings, P2S requests preparation, coordination and support of environmental process, coordination of design and plan development, right-of-way acquisition support, development and implementation of public involvement process, and construction support.</p> <p>Funding: Assists in the monitoring of project and program funding, budgets, and expenditures to assure compliance with budget. Develops and implements strategies to contain cost for the projects and programs. Utilizes P2S to make any necessary funding adjustments.</p> <p>Scheduling: Assists with project scheduling and ensures compliance with schedules to deliver projects and programs in a timely manner. Provides monthly status reports and updates on projects and program as required, including, the updating of data management and reporting systems.</p> <p>Contract Management: Assists in the development of consultant contracts including developing scope and fee estimates. Also assists in the executions of participation agreements and intergovernmental agreements.</p> <p>Public Involvement: Assists in coordinating and conducting public meetings as required. Develops and implements plan for projects. Represents SCDOT through presentations to government bodies, MPOs, CTCs, civic groups, etc. as needed. Communicates effectively with MPO staff, CTC officials, elected and public officials, and media regarding projects and programs. Works with members of the public to explain design issues as requested.</p> <p>Prepares correspondence and CTS responses to written verbal communications related to assigned programs, projects, or geographic area. Prepares any project and award notifications for the CTCs. Performs other related duties as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management and three (3) years of engineering or construction management work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.</p> <p>The physical demands for the essential functions involves sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods of time. This position may require occasional travel. May require bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, and kneeling. Walking for extended periods, treading rough terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and in natural environmental hazards.
