<p>Position Summary</p> <p>A Bench Technician is considered an in-house service/repair technician. The Bench Technician performs in-house servicing and repair of company products at an established company repair site or service center. The equipment varies from communication hardware to lottery point of sale and vending equipment.</p> <p>What you will be doing:</p> <ul> <li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures. </li><li>Perform maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired products, as well as inventory tracking. </li><li>General warehouse duties, including inventory, shipping, and forklift operation, may also be a portion of the work. </li><li>Oral and written communication, as well as hands-on work with field-based technicians for details regarding diagnostics or repairs. </li><li>Assist in development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. </li><li>Assist in the training of new and existing team members. </li><li>Assist with the creation of presentations/reports regarding bench and equipment activities, issues, and performance. </li><li>Some travel to customer locations for on-site work is possible. </li><li>Performs these functions and all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>An understanding of, and experience with, troubleshooting computer software and hardware technologies. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. </li><li>Promptly respond to customer/leadership requests and feedback. </li><li>Proven self-starter with motivation and ability. </li><li>Organization and time management skills that enable effective multitasking. </li><li>Strong judgement and problem-solving skills to determine most cost-effective repair/resolution. </li><li>Available to work overtime as needed. </li><li>Ability to lift, install and move large self-service equipment (regularly lift or move 35 pounds or more). </li><li>High School Diploma or equivalency. </li><li>Able to travel overnight if needed. </li><li>Ability to safely operate forklift and pass certification class. </li><li>Ability to drive a non-CDL delivery truck. </li><li>Pass background check, DOT certification and drug test. </li><li>Pass a background check, drug test, and have a clean driving record. </li><li>Previous warehouse and inventory control experience is preferred. </li><li>Two years computer software and hardware troubleshooting experience preferred. </li></ul>
