<p>Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse, sometimes referred to as a float RN, flex nurse or pool nurse at Riverview Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Gadsden, AL. Our Float Pool Nurse will work in our Telemetry (Tele) and/or Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) unit, providing patient care across these two areas. Telemetry units will focus on patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, often those recovering from cardiac events, surgeries, or dealing with heart-related conditions. Med-Surg units cater to a wide variety of patients with medical conditions or those recovering from surgeries. The Float RN will need to adapt to the specific needs of the Med Surg unit and Tele unit.</p> <p>Bonus Options: up to $10,000</p> <p>Shift's Available: Nights</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Hours: 7:00pm to 7:00am</p> <p>Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center - Gadsden, AL</p> <p>Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:</p> <ul> <li>Health, dental, and vision insurance options </li><li>Paid vacation, sick time and holidays </li><li>Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options </li><li>Employer 401K options </li><li>Tuition reimbursement options </li><li>Life, disability, and other insurance options </li><li>Many other amazing benefits </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>perform cardiac monitoring, observe telemetry monitors to track heart rhythms, recognize, and report arrhythmias or other significant changes to the patient's condition </li><li>address a broad range of conditions such as infections, diabetes, post-operative recovery, or chronic illnesses </li><li>monitor of vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and conduct detailed physical assessments to detect subtle changes in condition </li><li>administer medications, particularly those used to manage cardiac conditions (such as antiarrhythmics, beta-blockers, or anticoagulants) and pain management, infection control (e.g., antibiotics), or chronic disease management </li><li>manage IV lines, administering fluids, and monitoring hydration levels; ensure correct dosages and observe for potential interactions or side effects </li><li>teach patients about heart-healthy practices, conditions, medications, post-discharge care and follow-up care </li><li>provide guidance on the importance of lifestyle changes to improve cardiac health, discharge instructions, and lifestyle recommendations to prevent readmission </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:</p> <ul> <li>3 Years of Registered Nurse Experience Required </li><li>Current valid State Registered Nurse License. </li><li>Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. </li><li>Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of Critical Care Course preferred. </li><li>Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred </li><li>Ventilator Management experience preferred. </li><li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. </li><li>Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred. </li></ul> <p>Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/</p> <p>#LI-AZ1</p> <p>Employment Status</p> <p>Full Time</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>Nights</p> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity</p> <p>Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
