We got to the top by empowering our team members to do what's right for our customers, while providing state-of-the-art equipment and growth opportunities for those that aspire to do more!</p> <p>As a Production Lead you will coordinate departmental operations and controls in accordance to MEC policies and practices, and knowledge of methods and procedures on machine operation, set up and tear down.</p> <p>We Offer:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Wages </li><li>State of the art equipment/machines </li><li>401K Match </li><li>On Site Health Center with Benefits starting after only 30 days </li></ul> <p>Why Should you Apply at MEC?</p> <ul> <li>Continuous Learning Opportunities </li><li>Weekly Kaizen Events/Lean Management Improvements </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Duties And Responsibilities</p> <p>This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessary.</p> <ul> <li>Oversee efficient flow of product; striving to make sure component parts, containers and production supplies are always at the line to eliminate any line stoppage. </li><li>Responsible for product quality, and workmanship of the department. </li><li>Assists with developing and implementing corrective actions that will drive positive KPI performance. </li><li>Assigns work based on the daily production schedule; and if necessary, makes adjustments as requested by supervisors and planners. </li><li>Anticipate production delays, material shortages, equipment malfunctions, etc. and where feasible implement procedures to offset loss of labor hours and schedule interruptions. </li><li>Communicates necessary repairs of equipment to avoid excessive downtime. </li><li>Monitor use of safety devices, equipment, departmental housekeeping, and maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions. Ensures proper safety behaviors are being followed. </li><li>Ensure appropriate paperwork is properly completed for effective process tracking to support Quality and continuous improvement efforts. </li><li>Assists mentors with Operator training as needed. </li><li>Initiate communication with appropriate personnel when external input/help is needed on production or quality issues. </li><li>Works with department supervisor to maintain conformance with Company policies and procedures. Participates in disciplinary measures as appropriate. </li><li>Provide input on employee performance and training opportunities. </li><li>Serves as a back up to the Operations Supervisor as needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Must have a High School degree or GED. Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with previous leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p>
