<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing local Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, projects, and initiatives to maintain compliance and promote a culture of safety at the Vertiv Anderson facility. Provides direction to the Pelzer Point management team for the development and implementation of risk reduction solutions, safety best practices, and continuous improvements to drive to zero injuries. Ensures strict compliance with national, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Establish, maintain, and promote safety as a Vertiv core value and drive a positive safety culture. </li><li>Identify and prioritize EHS initiatives in support of business needs. </li><li>Coordinate with Learning and Development team to evaluate, develop, and assist in required EHS training for employees. </li><li>Maintain site safety records, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Job Hazard Analyses (JSA), and Ergonomic Assessments. </li><li>Maintain incident and injury records and logs as required by OSHA and Vertiv </li><li>Some travel may be required for training and cross-facility inspections and audits </li><li>Perform safety/environmental/housekeeping facility walkthroughs regularly. </li><li>Maintain data collection and reporting systems for EHS metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). </li><li>Coordinate EHS metrics and best practices with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS). </li><li>Ensure new equipment, machines, workstations, and assembly lines are implemented following all applicable safety and environmental regulatory requirements and Vertiv best practices. </li><li>Advise the EHS leader on facility risks, incidents, actions, programs, and policies. </li><li>Measure and monitor environmental impacts in conformance with Vertiv's environmental policy and government regulations. </li><li>Establish, monitor, enforce, and improve EHS systems, programs, policies, and procedures to reduce or eliminate risk with the goal of zero injuries. </li><li>Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments. </li><li>Maintain and assist with the employee safety committee, safety suggestion program, and safety promotional activities. </li><li>Assist in incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. </li><li>Support the Emergency and Crisis Management Response Program and local Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) </li><li>Conduct audits with facility contractors that come on-site and ensure guidelines are understood. </li><li>Normal work week is day shift Monday-Friday, but some after-hours and weekend work may be required for off-shift training, emergencies, or other special situations. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse operations </li><li>Strong familiarity with construction activities including rigging and loading. </li><li>Strong organizational and research skills </li><li>Strong analytical skills </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Strong customer service skills </li><li>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff. </li><li>Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to influence necessary levels of management in integrating safe and healthy behaviors in day-day operations. </li><li>Familiarity with Smartsheet, Excel, Word, and PPT </li></ul> <p>The successful candidate will reflect and embrace Vertiv's Values and Behaviours:</p> <p>OUR VALUES</p> <ul> <li>Acting Like an Owner </li><li>Assuming Positive intent in all employee interactions </li><li>Being passionate about your work </li><li>Challenging yourself in personal development </li><li>Being tireless in exceeding customer expectations </li><li>Assisting others to be successful as a team </li><li>Owning our own mistakes quickly </li><li>Talking with people and NOT about them </li><li>Creating a culture where people can be their best </li></ul> <p>OUR BEHAVIORS</p> <ul> <li>Be self-aware and learn </li><li>Embrace the customer experience </li><li>Think and act broadly </li><li>Drive change and innovation </li><li>Leverage diversity for organization effectiveness </li><li>Foster collaborative relationships </li><li>Take intelligent risks </li></ul>
