The Product Development Technician works within an AS9100 continuous improvement quality culture.</p> <p>What you'll be doing as a Product Development Technician:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluating new products and raw materials daily. </li><li>Developing and documenting new process conditions, test results, and other data. </li><li>Maintaining a safe, clean work area with FOD free objective. </li><li>Assisting with controlling raw material and consumables inventories. </li><li>Surveilling processes and work environment for operational, safety, regulations along with policies, and procedures. </li><li>Demonstrate working knowledge of sound experimental design practices. </li><li>Continuously improving new process and product variation. </li><li>Assist in creating new products of various composites, textiles, coatings, foams, and additive manufacturing technologies. </li><li>Other tasks as related and requested i.e. Conduct Quality & Safety audits and inspections; Execute trial plans; Develop and document SOP's and WI's. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands </li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift </li><li>Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools </li><li>Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks </li><li>Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects </li></ul> <p>Skills You Bring To this Role</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in developing and executing design of experiments and sample test plans. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Effective team player, with good critical thinking skills. </li><li>Working knowledge of materials processing and testing equipment. </li><li>General working knowledge of Military and ASTM Specification preferred. </li><li>Previous experience in QMS environment preferred. </li></ul> <p>What you need to be successful</p> <ul> <li>2 years of relevant experience working in a laboratory environment required. </li><li>High School Diploma/GED required; Degree or Technical certificate for related field from an accredited institution preferred. </li><li>Familiar with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues. </li><li>Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed. </li></ul> <p>What we offer you in return</p> <p>80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO)</p> <p>120 hours Vacation time</p> <p>12-13 paid holidays per year</p> <p>6 weeks parental leave</p> <p>Tuition reimbursement</p> <p>Competitive salary</p> <p>Comprehensive health insurance</p> <p>Access to Employee Resource Groups</p> <p>And so much more</p> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
