<p>Kforce is seeking an experienced SAP Basis System Engineer to join the team of their mass telecommunications and media client in Saint Louis, MO. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of SAP systems, with a focus on S/4HANA, Business Objects, Cloud Platform Integration, and HANA Cockpit. This role involves ensuring system reliability, performance, patching, maintenance, and disaster recovery while supporting critical business applications in a complex, enterprise-level SAP environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Administer and maintain SAP systems, including S/4HANA, SAP Business Objects, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), and HANA databases </li><li>Perform system upgrades, patching, and kernel updates to ensure system stability and security </li><li>Monitor and optimize system performance using SAP HANA Cockpit and other diagnostic tools </li><li>Design and implement disaster recovery strategies, including backup, restore, and high-availability solutions </li><li>Manage SAP system landscapes, including development, quality assurance, and production environments </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP Basis, database, and integration layers </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SAP integrations with non-SAP systems via CPI or other middleware </li><li>Ensure compliance with security standards, including user access management and role administration </li><li>Provide technical expertise for SAP migrations, cloud deployments, and system refreshes </li><li>Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and audit compliance </li><li>Stay updated on SAP technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and scalability* 7+ years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience in enterprise environments </li><li>3+ years of experience with SAP Business Objects administration </li><li>2+ years working with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) for system integrations </li><li>Proven expertise with S/4HANA system administration and HANA database management </li><li>Extensive experience with SAP HANA Cockpit for monitoring and administration </li><li>Strong proficiency in SQL for database management and performance tuning </li><li>Expertise in SAP system patching, upgrades, and kernel maintenance </li><li>Knowledge of disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and high-availability configurations </li><li>Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and change management </li><li>Experience with SAP Fiori administration and configuration (preferred) </li><li>Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for SAP deployments </li><li>Knowledge of operating systems (Linux/UNIX, Windows Server) supporting SAP environments </li><li>Familiarity with SAP security concepts, including user management and authorization </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with SAP system migrations to cloud or hybrid environments </li><li>Knowledge of ITIL processes for change, incident, and problem management </li><li>Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver and ABAP stack administration (preferred) </li><li>Understanding of data archiving and storage optimization in SAP environments </li><li>Ability to work on-call or outside regular hours for system maintenance and emergency support </li></ul> <p>Certifications (Preferred):</p> <ul> <li>SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA </li><li>SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration (SAP Basis) </li><li>SAP Cloud Platform Integration certification or equivalent </li></ul>
