The position is responsible for the management of various assigned training programs, as stipulated below. This includes scheduling and logistics management; and managing resources for project start-up, implementation and close- out. The position has full Program Management responsibility for several All Hazards training clients. The Program Manager is a direct back up to the Director of Federal Programs/Operations.</p> <p>The position also coordinates and manages the training equipment, supplies, and facilities. This includes inventory and procurement.</p> <p>The position also supports project managers with administrative duties, such as contacting clients and host training site points of contact; coordinating project documents/documentation; and post-training tasks.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>This position requires regular, predictable, reliable attendance in the office</p> <p>environment.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Scheduling training classes with clients, both private and public.</p> </li><li> <p>Assigning instructors to private and public training projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate logistics for private and public training projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the contract instructors, vendors, and contractors working on All Hazards' sites.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates all training equipment, supplies, and facilities, including inventory and procurement.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform administrative functions as part of a project management process.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for this position.</p> </li></ol> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Competencies</p> <ol> <li> <p>Communication Proficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Critical Thinking and Analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Project Management Skills</p> </li><li> <p>Flexibility.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong Organizational Skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Problem Solving Skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Highly Self-motivated</p> </li></ol> <p>Supervisory Responsibility</p> <p>Vendors and contractors working on AHTC training sites, as well as instructors and assistant instructors.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This job generally operates in a professional office environment, a classroom, or an industrial/manufacturing setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as hand tools, power tools, and metering/monitoring devices.</p> <p>The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.</p> <p>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.</p> <p>Position Type and Expected Hours of Work</p> <p>This is a full-time 12-month position, and regularly requires frequent weekend work.</p> <p>Travel</p> <p>Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out-of-the-area and overnight travel. A valid US Drivers' license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel.</p> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ol> <li> <p>Associates degree required, a bachelor's degree is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Three of more years of related work experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be proficient in use of MS Office programs, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge and experience in hazardous materials response and cleanup; personal protective equipment identification, application and use; decontamination practices, and related training.</p> </li></ol> <p>For optimal consideration of your applicant file, faculty applications must include a cover letter; current Resume or Curriculum Vitae; a statement of teaching philosophy; and the contact information for three professional references with your application.
