<p>Kforce has a client in Chesterfield, MO that is seeking an AP Specialist.</p> <p>Summary: Under the direction of Corporate Accounting Manager, the AP Specialist completes accounts payable functions including accounts payable coding/entry, invoice review, along with month end activities for multiple locations. The AP Specialist demonstrates ability to work independently while meeting expected deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment without compromising their attention to detail or accuracy.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure accurate and timely recording of accounts payable related transactions and appropriate documentation uploaded into ERP system </li><li>Review invoices entered by others for proper general ledger coding and correct documentation </li><li>Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges </li><li>Ensure invoices are entered in time for month end closing and complete AP accrual </li><li>Create new suppliers including collection of proper supporting documentation and recording federal ID numbers for year-end reporting of 1099's </li><li>Reconcile monthly A/P statements and related transactions </li><li>Monitor AP email account and respond accordingly </li><li>Maintains excellent professional relationships with suppliers and internal customers and provides proactive customer service in assisting with inquiries regarding account status information and other requests </li><li>Demonstrate teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance and service through continuous improvement activities </li><li>Other duties as designed* High School diploma/GED required </li><li>2+ years of accounts payable accounting experience </li><li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists </li><li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Suite Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint </li><li>NetSuite experience a plus </li></ul>
