<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The CREC Academy of Science and Innovation is seeking an innovative, creative, and collaborative leader to serve as a Dean of Students. As the Dean, the candidate would lead proactive initiatives in developing a positive culture of high expectations among students, staff, and families. Additional responsibilities for the Dean would include:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the Culture and Climate Team </li><li>Administering middle school student discipline </li><li>Collaborating with administration, student management staff, student support staff and teachers to support school goals. </li><li>Supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified staff </li><li>Manage and analyze student behavior data trends </li><li>Participate in grade level team meetings </li><li>Assist in developing tiered behavioral intervention strategies including behavior intervention plans. </li><li>Attend and supervise after school and community events </li><li>Chaperone day and overnight field trips </li></ul> <p>Previous experience in behavior management and middle school programming preferred. The qualified candidate will be mission-driven, highly motivated, possess a strong work ethic and strong communication skills, hold a valid CT Teacher Certification and have experience in working with middle/high school students and a student data management system.
