<p>Preschool Disabled Special Education Teacher JobID: 277</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching/Elementary</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>12/16/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Cold Springs School</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Open Until Filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Preschool Disabled Special Education Teacher</p> <p>The Gloucester City School District is seeking a dynamic Early Childhood Special Educator.</p> <p>Essential Performance Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Regularly assess, monitor, and document student progress toward Preschool Disabled (PSD) IEP goals using developmentally appropriate tools, observational notes, and anecdotal records </li><li>Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise in early childhood development, goal-setting, accommodations, and individualized student plans </li><li>Develop and implement a curriculum aligned with NJ Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards and district goals, integrating developmentally appropriate practices </li><li>Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment that supports exploration, play-based learning, and individualized/small-group instruction </li><li>Utilize a variety of instructional strategies tailored to early learners, including multi-sensory approaches, ABA techniques (if applicable), visual supports, and hands-on interventions </li><li>Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that foster language, social-emotional, cognitive, motor, and adaptive skill development </li><li>Conduct ongoing assessments of student learning and adjust instructional methods to meet individual developmental needs, providing targeted small-group or one-on-one instruction as appropriate </li><li>Promote social skills, self-regulation, and early citizenship principles through modeling, explicit instruction, and consistent routines </li><li>Maintain accurate and complete records for student progress, attendance, assessments, and required documentation in compliance with district procedures and state regulations </li><li>Establish strong communication with families, encourage parental involvement, and provide updates that support learning and generalization across home and school settings </li><li>Implement and uphold district and classroom behavior expectations centered on positive reinforcement, visual supports, and developmentally appropriate behavioral strategies </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility, with P-3 and Special Education endorsements </li><li>Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or other specialized instructional programming preferred </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of effective special education instructional methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain a positive, supportive learning environment </li><li>Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills </li><li>Successful criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status required </li></ul> <p>Salary</p> <ul> <li>GCEA Salary Guide </li></ul>
