Six months of acceptable experience will be credited for each year of full-time apprentice experience or approved trade school, technical school, vocational high school, or accredited college or university training.</p> <p>License Requirements</p> <p>Possession of a Certificate of Fitness Type G-60 Torch Use of Flammable Gases for Hot Work Operations issued by the New York City Fire Department. At the time of appointment, appointees will be required to possess a Motor Vehicle Driver License valid in the State of New York. Employees must maintain the Certification of Fitness and the Motor Vehicle Driver License during their employment.</p> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <p>Prior experience in the repair of vehicles that have "heavy hits" is preferred.</p> <p>55a Program</p> <p>This position is also open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program.
