<p>About the Role</p> <p>We're looking for a Senior APL Engineer to help build and evolve the platform behind one of the industry's most advanced managed accounts solutions. At InvestCloud, we power digital advice and operations for some of the largest financial institutions in the US-and our Dyalog APL systems sit at the heart of it all.</p> <p>In this role, you'll be a key contributor in modernizing and scaling the APL codebase that drives critical workflows across model management, SMA and UMA trading, and now Private Assets, reconciliation, and performance reporting. This is an opportunity to work on software that directly supports trillions in assets and shapes the future of personalized investing at scale.</p> <p>This is a hands-on, senior-level role in a dynamic engineering environment where clarity, quality, and domain fluency are essential. You'll collaborate with product and operations stakeholders to stabilize and enhance systems used by wealth managers, advisors, and institutional clients across the US.</p> <p>You bring deep APL expertise and a strong understanding of the business domain, and you're motivated by building industry leading high quality software within legacy and modern environments alike.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain Dyalog APL components that support managed accounts workflows including models, trade generation, operations processes </li><li>Lead refactoring and modernization efforts in core APL systems to improve readability, test coverage, and performance </li><li>Drive end-to-end delivery of business features with product, QA, and operations teams </li><li>Improve software quality </li><li>Enhance performance issues </li><li>Contribute to integration efforts with upstream and downstream services such as advisor platforms, custodians, and alternative processing engines </li><li>Mentor engineers in APL architecture, domain concepts, and test-first practices </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li>7+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in Dyalog APL (or a similar dialect) </li><li>Deep understanding of managed accounts trading and operations, including model management, order generation, post-trade processing, and reconciliation </li><li>Track record of working with legacy financial codebases and introducing testability, clarity, and structure </li><li>Proficiency in developing and maintaining unit, integration, and regression tests in APL </li><li>Familiarity with modern software lifecycle tools (Git, Jira, Jenkins, etc.) </li><li>Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and business-facing teams </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with custodians, model providers, or Turnkey Asset Management Platforms (TAMPs) </li><li>Exposure to complementary technical stacks (.NET, Python, SQL, R) </li><li>Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) </li><li>Experience with automated and test-driven development (A/TDD), especially in legacy or transformation contexts </li></ul> <p>About InvestCloud</p> <p>InvestCloud, a global leader in wealth technology, aspires to enable a smarter financial future. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant's geographic location. Salary range: $120,000 - $175,000.
