<p>Job Title: Industrial Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Industrial Engineer is responsible for evaluating, designing, and improving production processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. This role involves analyzing workflow, production methods, layouts, and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive operational excellence across the facility.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Analyze current manufacturing processes, workflows, and material flow to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements. </li><li>Develop and optimize plant layout, workstation design, and material handling methods to maximize productivity and reduce waste. </li><li>Establish and refine time standards, labor utilization rates, and production capacities. </li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S. </li><li>Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving for process deviations or quality issues. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain. </li><li>Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and related process documentation. </li><li>Evaluate new equipment and technology; lead cost-benefit analysis and justification for capital improvement projects. </li><li>Monitor production data, KPI performance, and report trends to leadership. </li><li>Provide training and support to supervisors and production staff on process changes and improvement methods. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related engineering discipline. </li><li>2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis capabilities. </li><li>Proficiency in CAD software, process simulation tools, or layout planning software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) preferred. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in process improvement, manufacturing engineering, and process engineering. </li><li>Familiarity with time studies, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma. </li><li>Experience with plant layout and manufacturing processes. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role is primarily onsite, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position requires 25% travel, with all expenses covered. The company is a rapidly growing organization, having expanded from $600,000 in sales to $800 million in seven years.
