<p>PURPOSE OF JOB AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>The primary purpose of the housekeeping staff is to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in all areas of the community and Home Office including but not limited to unoccupied units, public restrooms, offices, and common areas.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES.</p> <ul> <li>Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions in accordance with established housekeeping procedures and as assigned by supervision. </li><li>Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies; reports all hazardous equipment or conditions and accidents/incidents to the supervisor, no matter how minor they may be. </li><li>Keeps the Regional Maintenance Supervisor informed regarding any unusual incidents or issues regarding residents, team members, or the community. </li><li>Clean offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, and property common areas. </li><li>Cleans walls, windows, handrails, ceiling fans and overhead lights, air vents, and baseboards by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.; keeps all windows, cabinets, doors, mirrors, smudge free and clean. </li><li>Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming. </li><li>Cleans carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting. </li><li>Cleans/dusts furniture, windows, counters, shelving, woodwork, walls and ceilings, and light fixtures. </li><li>Clean/disinfect lavatories, toilets, clean/polish bathroom fixtures, replenishes disposable supplies such as toilet paper, towels, soap. </li><li>Empty garbage containers as well as recyclable containers. </li><li>Keeps all housekeeping equipment, storage areas, closets, and carts clean and uncluttered throughout and at the end of the shift. </li><li>Keeps the supervisor informed of all supply needs and issues of concern. </li><li>Maintain professional relationships with vendors and other Company personnel. </li><li>Perform all job-related duties as assigned by supervisor. </li><li>Maintains a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. </li><li>Maintain regular and predictable attendance. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Ability to read and understand label directions on cleaning products </li><li>Must be able to use common housecleaning implements. </li><li>Knowledge of cleaning materials such as: detergents, disinfectants and polishes. </li><li>Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li>Capable of working long days frequently. </li><li>Physically able to operate cleaning equipment. </li><li>Must be legally able to operate a motor vehicle, possess valid driver's license and auto insurance, and meet company driving requirements. </li><li>Capable of pushing, pulling, or lifting to 50 lbs. </li><li>Occasionally required to climb, kneel, crouch, bend, reach or crawl. </li><li>Additional physical demands include: being outside/walking across property in various weather conditions, on feet for an extended period, walking up and downstairs, climbing a ladder, and performing duties that require manual dexterity. </li><li>Occasionally exposed to fumes, chemicals, </li></ul>
