<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Position Description: Payroll</p> <p>Location: Central Office</p> <p>Reports to: Director of Finance and Operations</p> <p>Salary and terms of Employment:</p> <p>Anticipated Start Date: Upon Hire</p> <p>12-Month Position</p> <p>Daily Schedule: 8:30-4:00 P.M.</p> <p>Range - $28.97-33.97 per hour</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Considerable knowledge of payroll processes and related personnel policies, contracts and procedures </li><li>Experience in a Payroll Office performing all payroll functions (an Associate's degree and two years payroll office experience preferred). </li><li>Knowledge of Federal (IRS) and State requirements pertaining to payroll. </li><li>Working knowledge of computers and all Microsoft office software including Word and Excel. </li><li>Knowledge in using financial software systems for payroll and payroll-related financial activities including direct deposit, liability payments and absence management (School ERP Pro/Tyler Technologies and Frontline Experience preferred). </li><li>Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment. </li><li>Acts as a backup to Accounts Payable Position. </li></ul> <p>Interested candidates should submit a completed application at:</p> <p>https://www.applitrack.com/montvilleschools/onlineapp/default.aspx</p> <p>MONTVILLE IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</p> <p>It is the policy of the Montville Public Schools to ensure equal employment opportunity to every person regardless of race, color, religion, creed, age, marital status, national origin, gender; gender identity or expression, sexual preference or physical and mental disability; and to ensure equal educational opportunity for all students and to prohibit unlawful discrimination because of race, color, religion, creed, age, marital status, national origin, gender, sexual preference, or physical and mental disability in the school district's educational program and activities.</p>
