Union Tank Car Company's regulatory, engineering, and commercial expertise make UTLX the preferred source of railcars and services for many of its customers. Not all classifications will be required to perform all job functions.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Unloads incoming material from carrier's vehicle.</p> </li><li> <p>Visually inspects parcels for?damage and?notifies Quality Control if any damage is noticed.</p> </li><li> <p>Verifies quantity of material received against shipping papers by counting or weighing or measuring and?posts?data to cards,?charts,?and forms.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates forklift?truck, pallet?truck, mobile handling?fixture, and overhead?crane, to move and store materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains area in a neat and orderly manner and reports work hazards.</p> </li><li> <p>Stocks/replenishes lineside material</p> </li><li> <p>Cycle counts/turns</p> </li></ul> <p>Eligibility Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must have a high school diploma, GED, or pass a Combined Basic Skills Test</p> </li><li> <p>Forklift Training or willingness to be trained</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record of no more than three moving violations in the past three years</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work effectively and efficiently both as a member of a team and independently</p> </li><li> <p>Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions</p> </li><li> <p>Safety and quality focused</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to wear required PPE at all times and always work safely.</p> </li><li> <p>Be available to work any shift, and be dependable and reliable to show up for scheduled work shifts including overtime, as allowed per the union contract</p> </li></ul> <p>Environmental & Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Physical effort in lifting and carrying materials and attaching rigging devices.</p> </li><li> <p>Manual dexterity in operating control levers and buttons.</p> </li><li> <p>Exposed to dirt, fumes, smoke,?and heat.</p> </li><li> <p>Some?climbing?into and out of vehicles, crane cabs, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Some outside work possible minor cuts and bruises.
