<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Senior Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with business partners and HR leaders in supporting the business with complex and specialized tasks.</p> <p>This position is responsible for supporting the administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource functions. This includes the ability to attract, hire, develop, and retain employees in the respective areas of responsibility. Carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: hourly recruitment, employment law compliance, onboarding, offboarding, HRIS, employee and labor relations, training, and affirmative action.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Partner with leadership to develop effective work environments, drive culture change, and produce working conditions which safely maximize the effective use of human capital that results in maximum productivity, profitability, and job satisfaction. </li><li>Act as a resource for employees and management on complex to specialized employee relations issues. Perform investigations and recommend a course of action, as needed (combined from last point into this one) </li><li>Administer and monitor salary and hourly wage planning and make recommendations within plans </li><li>Coordinate with HR leadership on the formulation and/or modification of Human Resource policies, and conduct roll-out and enforcement of such policies </li><li>Act as a resource for Managers in the development, implementation and use of performance standards and evaluation/appraisal systems. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local programs, as well as the company & business unit programs </li><li>Provide administrative services as necessary to ensure all duties and functions are performed successfully </li><li>Supports development and delivers training related to Human Resources programs and employee and/or labor relations issues. </li><li>Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. </li></ul> <p>Functional Skills</p> <ul> <li>HR Best Practices </li><li>HR Policies and Procedures </li><li>Employment Laws </li><li>Communications </li><li>Compensation Design </li><li>Workers' Compensation </li><li>Microsoft Office Programs </li><li>HRIS Systems </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Required - Bachelor's degree in HR or business-related field and 5+ years of human resources experience, or equivalent experience in HR </li><li>Preferred - PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification </li><li>Preferred - Bilingual Spanish </li><li>Preferred - Workday System </li></ul> <p>Travel</p> <p>Travel will be 30% within the assigned area of the Division. Out-of-area and overnight travel will be expected.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This job operates 30% of the time in field locations and 70% of the time will be in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.</p> <p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</p> <p>This is a full-time exempt position. This position may require long hours and weekend work.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
