Due to continued growth and strong demand in an area we already proudly serve, we are seeking an upbeat, positive, and driven veterinarian to join our established team in Falls Church, VA.</p> <p>In this role, you will work directly with primary care veterinarians and collaborate on cases with specialists, delivering timely, high-quality diagnostic imaging and support to hospitals and their patients.</p> <p>Veterinarians with an interest in and experience with ultrasound are encouraged to apply. You will receive up to 4 months of paid training to ensure confidence and success in the role. MiVU offers excellent benefits, including:</p> <ul> <li>Normal hours (M-F, 9am-5pm) </li><li>No weekends </li><li>PTO </li><li>Health benefits </li><li>401(k) </li><li>Bonus pay </li><li>CE allowance </li><li>Licensing coverage </li><li>Company vehicle </li></ul> <p>If you believe you'd be a great fit for this opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Benefits</p> <p>Position Responsibilities</p> <p>Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations including:</p> <ul> <li>Abdominal and thoracic exams </li><li>Pregnancy Evaluation </li><li>Thyroid and parathyroid evaluation </li><li>Cryptorchid exams </li><li>Ocular exams </li><li>General health screening </li><li>Perform full diagnostic echocardiograms to be sent to a boarded cardiologist for interpretation </li><li>Perform ultrasound-guided fluid cavity centesis </li><li>Perform ultrasound-guided biopsies, including tru-cut tissue core biopsies (14ga) and fine-needle biopsies </li><li>Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely medical reports </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of clinical veterinary experience </li><li>Ultrasound experience highly preferred </li></ul> <p>Training & Support</p> <ul> <li>Up to 4 months of hands-on training with MiVU veterinarians </li><li>Ongoing collaboration with SVP internists, radiologists, and cardiologists </li><li>Continuing education course support </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. The teammate may be required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The role includes moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
