<p>Tesla is on a path to build humanoid robots at scale to automate repetitive and boring tasks. The goal of our Machine Learning team is to build and demonstrate a general robot learning system that can leverage AI to perform complex physical tasks, ranging from full body locomotion, and precise manipulation This specific role will do hands-on data analysis for Optimus's Machine Learning team, as well as build data pipelines, tools and applications to automate those analysis. This is a unique opportunity to work on state-of-the-art algorithms for object manipulation culminating in their deployment to real world production applications.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Write fleet queries and Python scripts to source new datasets</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze distributions of various components of robot data to spot anomalies.</p> </li><li> <p>Write scripts to sanitize data, based on heuristics or learned models.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop innovative methods for data acquisition, clustering, and cleaning</p> </li><li> <p>Build robust metrics to track model improvements across different dataset mixtures</p> </li><li> <p>Write alerts to flag anomalies during data collection</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in building large models and large datasets</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL (PostgreSQL), MATLAB, R</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams</p> </li><li> <p>Strong work ethics and willingness to take on multiple roles</p> </li></ul>
