<p>Position: Lunch Aide</p> <p>Position Type: Part Time - School Year</p> <p>Department: School Nutrition</p> <p>Location: Cunniff Elementary School</p> <p>Reports to: Assistant Principal</p> <p>Affiliation: Non Aligned</p> <p>Salary range: $17.47/Hourly</p> <p>General Description:</p> <p>The Lunch Aide supports the school nutrition program by supervising students during lunch periods, assisting with meal distribution, and ensuring a safe and clean dining environment. This role involves monitoring student behavior, maintaining cleanliness in lunch areas, and collaborating with staff to create a positive and organized mealtime experience.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervision of lunch periods </li><li>Assist in the delivery of lunches </li><li>Assure the safety of students during lunch periods both inside and outside of the school building </li><li>Assist in the clean up of the lunch areas at the end of lunch periods </li><li>Ensure the cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas during and between lunch periods. </li><li>To sweep under tables between lunches. </li><li>To assist students with cleaning up spills on tables and floors. </li><li>To look for and clean spills around garbage cans and other areas that can create slip hazards. </li><li>Communicate with custodial staff for larger spills. </li><li>Replace trash cans, or provide additional supplies. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the building department </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma </li><li>Experience working with children is required </li><li>Successful candidates must be organized and patient </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Watertown Public Schools is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information or disability, as defined and required by state and federal laws.
