<p>Under the administrative direction of the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Pathways and Workforce Development creates and leads a visionary, student-centered division dedicated to advancing academic and career opportunities through robust K-12 pathways, transfer and articulation strategies, customized workforce training, and continuing education. This position promotes a collaborative and inclusive culture, driving excellence in teaching, learning, and partnerships that respond to community, economic, and labor market needs.Pathways and Workforce Development Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead pathways and workforce development teams to develop and deliver quality educational programs that align with the vision, mission, values, Core Abilities, and strategic priorities of Nicolet College. </li><li>Establish and articulate a long-term vision for the division that creates and maintains an innovative environment conducive to excellence in teaching and learning. Develop new programs in alignment with the vision. </li><li>Develop sales goals for contract training. </li><li>Oversee development and delivery of programs including K-12 pathways, pathway academy model, transfer/articulation services, and customized workforce training. </li><li>Advocate for pathway models that enhance access, mobility, and credential completion. </li><li>Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with area employers, high schools, and community organizations, as well as regional, state, and national agencies and organizations. </li><li>Attend program Advisory Committee meetings. </li><li>Represent the college in regional, state, and national initiatives related to workforce and transfer alignment </li><li>Facilitate faculty and staff meetings and activities to support their growth and development. </li><li>Collaborate with other College employees to recruit and retain students. </li></ul> <p>Administrative Leadership</p> <ul> <li>In collaboration with other College leaders, foster an environment where people are passionate about meeting and exceeding student, community, economic, and workforce development needs. </li><li>Develop and manage budgets for areas of responsibility, including operational, capital, and grant budgets. </li><li>Recruit full-time and adjunct faculty to meet program needs. Recruit and supervise other employees as indicated. </li><li>Ensure area compliance with College policies and procedures. </li><li>Participate in College Leadership & Management program and other professional development. Attend WTCS system meetings related to areas of responsibility. </li><li>Support pursuit of external funding, grants, and fee-for-service training partnerships. </li><li>Collaborate with facilities and technology teams to align instructional space planning with program growth. </li><li>Provide input on instructional space optimization, lab upgrades, and resource allocation. </li></ul> <p>Facilitate Teaching Excellence</p> <ul> <li>In collaboration with Academic Deans, implement assignments, supervise and evaluate full-time faculty in accordance with FQAS standards, faculty assurances and annual contracts. </li><li>Lead Workforce Development faculty to ensure instructional quality and adherence to applicable professional standards. </li><li>Facilitate program and course curriculum design to WTCS and Nicolet College standards and facilitate curriculum modifications as necessary. </li><li>Empower faculty to actively engage in managing their courses. </li><li>Promote team collaboration with academic and student support systems to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Promote equity and inclusion. </li><li>In collaboration with faculty, resolve student concerns and complaints. </li><li>Monitor and address student performance data. Promote data-informed decision-making for delivery of customized training and continuous quality improvement. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of higher education practices and instructional technology. </li><li>Exemplary interpersonal and communications skills. </li><li>Team leadership skills, with ability to coach and evaluate performance. </li><li>Ability to establish and meet team commitments, goals, and objectives. </li><li>Ability to promote an educational philosophy places the primary emphasis on student learning in the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning. </li><li>Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships across the College and District, working with diverse student, employee, and community populations. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university required. </li><li>Three to five years' experience leading a team of professionals in the delivery of a program or service. </li><li>Two years Teaching experience in a K12 or higher educational setting. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience as an academic administrator in higher education. </li><li>Full-time technical or community college teaching experience. </li><li>Experience with flexible program design and delivery. </li><li>Experience in the planning and delivery of customized training for workforce development. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
