<p>Close All</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Athletics at CU Boulder encourages applications for a Sports Science Fellow! This role supports the delivery and development of applied sports science initiatives to promote optimal health, wellness, and performance of University of Colorado student-athletes. Our faculty, staff, and students work with the broader community to establish outstanding connections that have lasting outcomes-both across Colorado and around the world.</p> <p>What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be</p> <p>The Sports Science Intern will assist with setting up, maintaining, and breaking down performance monitoring equipment such as GPS units, heart rate monitors, and force plates. They will assist with collecting, organizing, and managing data related to athlete workload, recovery, readiness, and performance while integrating it into a centralized athlete management system. This Intern will work in a collaborative manner to develop reports and visualizations, connect with an interdisciplinary performance team, and ensure compliance with institutional data privacy standards.</p> <p>What You Should Know</p> <ul> <li>This is a temporary, on-call position. Weekly hours will vary based on sport assignment and competitive season. Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and team travel may occur. </li><li>This role is on-site. </li></ul> <p>What We Can Offer</p> <p>$19/Hour.</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.</p> <p>Be Statements</p> <p>Be ambitious. Be Boulder.</p> <p>What We Require</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in a health or performance-related field, including physiology, kinesiology, health and wellness, sport science, nutrition, athletic training, exercise science, or related field. </li><li>Strong interest in applied sports science, data analytics, or sports medicine. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. </li></ul> <p>What You Will Need</p> <ul> <li>Proven communication skills and ability to work effectively as a member of a team. </li><li>Proven ability to establish effective relationships with groups and individuals. </li><li>Basic skills in data collection, analysis, and visualization. </li><li>Self-motivated, organized, diligent, attentive to detail, and able to problem-solve. </li></ul> <p>What We Would Like You to Have</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of GPS and performance technologies (e.g., Catapult, Kinexon, Polar, VALD, etc.). </li><li>Experience using statistical programming languages and data visualization tools (e.g., R, Python, Power BI, etc.). </li><li>Interest in working towards a professional certification such as CSCS, CPSS, etc. </li><li>Experience in sports science at the Division 1 level with Football or Olympic Sports. </li></ul> <p>Special Instructions</p> <p>To apply, please submit the following materials:</p> <ul> <li>A current resume. </li><li>A cover letter that specifically tells us how your background and experience align with the requirements, qualifications, and responsibilities of the position. </li></ul> <p>We may request references at a later time.</p> <p>Please apply by 5/5/26 for consideration.</p> <p>Note: Application materials will not be accepted via email.
