We aim to provide deep knowledge across all specialties, including transplantation, stem cell therapy, congenital heart disease, women's heart health, valve disorders, arrhythmia and hypertension.</p> <p>Summary of Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>The Echo Sonographer assists physicians in performing basic Echocardiographic imaging and other procedures. </li><li>Performs ultrasound imaging technologies for cardiac patients in an outpatient setting. </li><li>Assists with detecting issues related to blood flow and heart ailments and escalates appropriately to physicians as they develop diagnoses and design patient treatment plans. </li><li>Receives mentorship until able to exercise competency in the use of all related ultrasound equipment and imaging protocols. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining a safe patient environment and ensures that the room and equipment are prepared, functional and stocked for assigned procedures. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required </li><li>Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound school required </li></ul> <p>License/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required </li><li>RDCS from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or RCS issued by Cardiovascular Credentialing International required </li><li>Applicants willing to obtain certification within one year from start date may be considered as a Sonographer I </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer required </li><li>Applicants with less than 3 years of experience may be considered as a Sonographer I </li></ul> <p>About Us</p> <p>Cedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine and research.
