<p>The Risk Management Consultant evaluates risk exposures across multiple lines including Property, Workers' Compensation, Auto, and General Liability. This role involves providing expert consulting services, developing actionable risk control recommendations, and supporting underwriting efforts through detailed risk assessments. Risk Management Consultants partner closely with underwriters, agents, and policyholders to improve account performance and retention.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate account exposures in Property, Workers' Compensation, Auto, Products/Completed Operations, and General Liability. </li><li>Develop, discuss, and submit meaningful recommendations to reduce policyholder loss exposure. </li><li>Provide risk improvement services to policyholders, including risk management consulting, conducting training, and special projects. </li><li>Partner with Underwriters, Market Managers, Agents, and Insureds to increase the amount and quality of commercial new business to achieve or exceed retention goals. </li><li>Gather applicable information as requested by the Underwriters. </li><li>Complete risk management survey reports and meet production, quality, and timeline objectives. </li><li>Periodically visit with territory agents and provide specific, value-added services. </li><li>Act as a resource by consulting with policyholders, agents, and company personnel. </li><li>Maintain and update a library of risk management reference materials. </li><li>Continuously improve personal skills and technical knowledge by conducting research and attending applicable classes and seminars. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>ESSENTIAL:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Occupational Safety and Health, science, engineering, business, math or technology. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Excellent organizational and self-motivation skills. </li><li>Ability to perform with minimal supervision. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills. </li><li>Excellent negotiation skills. </li><li>Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR history. </li><li>Travel with overnight stays </li><li>Physical agility and mobility to move around effectively and safely within different locations, including the policy holder's property. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for an extended period. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ul> <li>A Risk Management/Safety certification such as ASP, CSP, ARM, etc., and minimum of five years of safety or insurance risk management experience. </li><li>Excellent Keyboard/PC skills are desired. </li></ul> <p>At SECURA, we are transforming the insurance experience by putting authenticity at the forefront of everything we do.
