Join our great people at our great places designing great projects.</p> <p>We are currently searching for a CFD Analyst- Mechanical Engineer to sit in either our New York NY, Troy NY, Atlanta GA, Milwaukee WI, Tempe AZ, or Herndon VA office.</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <ul> <li>Utilize CFD tools to solve physics-based problems related to indoor and outdoor building flows, thermal comfort, contaminant dispersion and condensation controls </li><li>Improve existing analytical capabilities by developing and improving best practices, automating processes, and streamlining workflows </li><li>Maintain working knowledge of relevant computational fluids research in the building mechanical field with proactive research </li><li>Documentation, reporting, and making technical presentations of engineering solutions to design teams and clients </li><li>Work independently while communicating and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and project managers </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline </li><li>3 year of relevant work experience </li><li>Knowledgeable on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Building Mechanical Systems </li><li>Ability to perform quality work within deadlines </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree </li><li>Demonstrated experience in understanding and using CFD analysis software (FloEFD, STAR CCM+, Fluent, FDS, OpenFOAM, 6SigmaRoom) </li><li>Familiarity with software development for writing User Defined Functions (UDF) for commercial software. </li><li>Experience in programming languages such as Python, C++ and Java </li><li>Critical thinking and problem solving skills, planning & organizing skills, decision making and time management skill </li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to clearly communicate research findings through presentations and reports </li><li>Strong drive for results and continuous improvement </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits:</p> <p>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.</p> <p>Expected Salary: $91,000 - $129,000</p> <p>WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
