This role leads complex technical sales campaigns, builds executive-level customer relationships, and positions Siemens EDA's multi-platform solutions to solve critical customer challenges.</p> <p>As a trusted technical advisor, the Field Application Engineer 5 partners closely with Sales, Product, and cross-functional teams to lead evaluations, guide deployments, and ensure long-term customer success.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Build strong, long-term relationships with customer technical leaders and management across multiple levels. </li><li>Act as the primary technical advisor for strategic accounts, guiding customers on best practices and solution adoption. </li><li>Lead deep technical discovery to understand customer design flows, business objectives, and competitive challenges. </li></ul> <p>Technical Sales & Opportunity Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead complex, high-impact technical sales campaigns and evaluations with regional or portfolio-level impact. </li><li>Deliver compelling technical presentations demonstrating the value of Siemens EDA solutions, including multi-platform workflows. </li><li>Architect and drive pilot projects and proof-of-value engagements that lead to successful customer adoption. </li><li>Translate technical value into clear business impact in partnership with Account Managers. </li></ul> <p>Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Partner closely with Sales, Account Technology Managers, and Technical Account Managers to align on strategy and execution. </li><li>Contribute to regional and portfolio growth strategies through customer insight, competitive intelligence, and technology trends. </li><li>Collaborate with Product, R&D, Support, and Services teams to address customer needs and influence solution improvements. </li><li>Advise on optimal license configurations, product mix, and deployment approach. </li></ul> <p>Deployment, Enablement & Mentorship</p> <ul> <li>Guide customers through deployment, integration, and optimization of Siemens EDA solutions to ensure long-term success. </li><li>Support customers during critical issues and ensure effective engagement with Support teams as needed. </li><li>Mentor and coach Field Application Engineers, promoting technical excellence and consistent delivery standards. </li><li>Lead or contribute to operational improvements that enhance team effectiveness and scalability. </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Strong understanding of semiconductor or electronic design flows and methodologies; advanced experience with EDA tools and the ability to integrate and optimize solutions within customer environments. </li><li>Experience scripting or automating workflows using APIs, configuration tools, or custom scripts. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to position and communicate the value of multi-tool, multi-platform solutions. </li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders. </li><li>Proven success collaborating across sales, product, and technical teams in a customer-facing role. </li><li>Experience leading large-scale evaluations or enterprise-level customer deployments. </li><li>Strong knowledge of competitive EDA technologies and industry trends. </li><li>Prior mentoring or technical leadership experience within a field or customer-facing team. </li></ul> <p>Why us?</p> <p>Working at Siemens Software means flexibility - Choosing between working at home and the office at other times is the norm here.
