We do this by being deeply knowledgeable, fully capable, and always dependable, and our associates are the driving force behind this commitment.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Responsible for leading activities of shipping and receiving department to ensure orders are prepared for shipment and shipped orders are received.</p> <p>Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Reviews paperwork for incoming merchandise and customer orders in order to distribute work activities to team.</p> </li><li> <p>Loads/unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares inventory for shipment. Properly bands and shrink wraps pallets and attaches shipping labels.</p> </li><li> <p>Processes shipping orders using computerized shipping system and monitors order pick report.</p> </li><li> <p>Loads and unloads trucks and ensures trucks are loaded by Shippers.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains warehouse inventory on racks in a neat and orderly manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Trains Shippers/Receivers as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Tracks shipping errors.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Nature and Scope</p> <ul> <li> <p>Problems are typically difficult and/or high impact. Troubleshoots complex support or operational problems for junior level associates.</p> </li><li> <p>Under limited supervision, independently resolves issues and applies a variety of methods to develop customized solutions. May lead the daily operations of a department or team. Work typically involves infrequent review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with supervisory duties but does not have hiring/firing authority. Trains, delegates tasks, and reviews the work of junior level associates.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li> <p>Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors, such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.</p> </li><li> <p>Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate to heavy weight (8-40 pounds).</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Generally 7+ years of experience in area of responsibility.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with shipping/receiving operations in a high-volume warehouse environment</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory tracking, or computerized shipping systems</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to train, delegate tasks, and support junior associates in daily operations</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of inventory control, order accuracy, and shipping documentation</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and resolve shipping or receiving discrepancies</p> </li></ul> <p>If you're looking to play a role in building America, consider one of our open opportunities.
