<p>Job Title Student Van Driver - Fall 2025 Department Transportation Services Job Description/Duties</p> <p>The SUNY Cortland Transportation Department is seeking part-time student drivers to drive a minivan or 12 passenger van throughout campus along a pre-determined route. This position is responsible for transporting students, maintaining records/trip sheets, and operating large vehicles.</p> <p>In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:</p> <ul> <li>Use a minivan/12 passenger van stopping at designated campus locations and following a pre-determined schedule. </li><li>Adhere to SUNY Cortland, state and federal transportation regulations, protocols and procedures. </li><li>Ability to communicate with supervisor regarding schedules </li><li>Maintain records of trips/persons transported and submit weekly reports to supervisor. </li><li>inspect assigned van and maintain responsibility for safe operating conditions, as well as exterior and interior cleaning and daily fuel and fluid checks. </li><li>Adhere to student transportation schedules as closely as possible while being able to adapt as needed in the event of last minute changes </li><li>be available to work approximately 8 to 10 hours each week. </li></ul> <p>Days/Hours Needed</p> <ul> <li>Part-time </li><li>Monday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to midnight </li></ul> <p>Campus Location/Bldg.</p> <p>Transportation Services - 3739 Stratton Drive (Lower Campus)</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be a current SUNY Cortland student </li><li>Valid New York State Driver's license with two years experience </li><li>Clean driving record free of tickets, citations or infractions </li><li>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. ability to plan and execute daily routes </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and clients. </li><li>Ability to work independently with little supervision. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Special Conditions for Eligibility Contact Name(s) & Email(s)</p> <p>Josh McLaughlin</p> <p>josh.mclaughlin@cortland.edu</p> <p>Salary Grade B-$16.00/hr.
