<p>The Patient Experience Representative works under close supervision to provide support to the administrative operations of a clinical service and works to ensure the best possible patient experience by effectively coordinating services to patients and families. Demonstrates interest in and ability to departmental and organizational initiatives & projects with a focus on continuous process improvement. Performs various administrative functions requiring basic knowledge of programs and services. Provides positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations.</p> <ul> <li>PER Positions are currently eligible for a Sign-on Bonus of $2,000 for full time positions* </li></ul> <p>(Not eligible for internal employees)</p> <p>This Patient Experience Representative is 100% in office in the NICU and will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Patient Encounter Management:</p> </li><li> <p>Providing positive and effective customer service that supports unit operations</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborating with referring providers and practices</p> </li><li> <p>Obtaining required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules</p> </li><li> <p>Scheduling patients and supporting the patient encounter</p> </li><li> <p>Check In / Check Out:</p> </li><li> <p>Greeting and directing patients, families and visitors</p> </li><li> <p>Monitoring daily schedule and coordinating flow with clinicians/supervisor</p> </li><li> <p>Reconciling payments and preparing deposits, providing record of transactions in Hospital systems</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitating and directing communication with Financial Counseling</p> </li><li> <p>Administrative:</p> </li><li> <p>Recording and forwarding messages, triaging call for urgent information or services, initiating call for emergency services</p> </li><li> <p>Providing routine clerical support as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>To qualify, you must have:</p> <ul> <li>A high school level of education, Bachelor's Degree preferred </li><li>Prior customer service or administrative experience preferred </li><li>The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations </li><li>The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies </li></ul> <p>Schedule: 7am-3:30 M-F 100% in person</p> <p>Boston Children's Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits including flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, child care and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
