<p>Regions Hospital is seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist & Cardiopulmonary Specialist to join our group of collaborative professionals that work in partnership with the patient care team in the development, modification, and implementation of the respiratory care plan. Join our team and be a partner for good!</p> <p>As a Respiratory Therapist in the Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Lab, you will fulfill all responsibilities of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT) while also meeting advanced training, experience and certification requirements. You will collaborate closely with the patient care team to perform diagnostic procedures in both the PFT lab and Pulmonary Clinic, serving pediatric, adult and geriatric populations. In addition to diagnostic support, you will administer routine and specified respiratory care interventions tailored to individual patient needs. Responsibilities also include daily calibration of pulmonary function equipment and quality control testing for point of care lab procedures. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support clinical operations.</p> <p>Work schedule: FTE: 0.90 Monday - Friday, Day shift, 72 hours per pay period.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy and/or graduation from a two-year American Medical Association approved training program in Respiratory Care OR </li><li>Coursework and credentials (i.e., graduate of two-year respiratory therapist program plus CRT credential) which meet the qualifications for the registry exam of the National Board for Respiratory Care may substitute for the associate degree. </li></ul> <p>Licensure/Registration/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>Must be licensed as a Respiratory Therapist (LRT) with the State of Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. </li><li>BLS Certified </li><li>ACLS within one year of hire </li><li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified </li><li>Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) and/or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) </li></ul> <p>Experience: Minimum four years' experience performing PFTs, challenge tests with agents and Cardiopulmonary exercise testing</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy</p> <p>Benefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401k with match, disability insurance, fertility coverage and tuition reimbursement.
