<p>Job Description:</p> <p>New Hartford Public Schools is Seeking a Full-Time Nurse</p> <p>The New Hartford Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a full-time nurse (RN) position for New Hartford Elementary School. A current CT RN License is required along with up-to-date CPR/First Aid Training.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>(Mandated by Connecticut State Regulations 10-212-1 to 10-212-7)</p> <ul> <li>Holds a valid RN license from the State Department of Health Services to practice professional nursing; </li><li>Has one year of work experience within the last five years; </li><li>Has 12 academic credits or the equivalent in CEUs or workshop hours beyond the basic preparation in nursing; and </li><li>Has 10 hours of continuing education in school health every two years. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>(Based on current recommendations of the National Association of School Nurses, Association of School Nurses of Connecticut, American Academy of Pediatrics and Connecticut Task Force on School Nurse Certification):</p> <ul> <li>Holds valid RN license from the State Department of Health Services to practice professional nursing; </li><li>Has successfully completed degree program in nursing from an accredited school; </li><li>Has successfully completed two years full time equivalent (FTE) employment in nursing, one of which must be in pediatric, adolescent, community, or public health nursing within the past five years; or one year FTE employment in pediatric, adolescent, community, or public health nursing within the past five years; </li><li>Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate; and </li><li>Certification in school nursing by a national nursing certification body, when eligible. </li></ul> <p>SALARY: $45,000 (w/benefits)</p> <p>Closing Date: open until filled</p> <p>APPLICATION PACKAGE MUST INCLUDE:</p> <p>Letter of interest, Resume, 3 Current Letters of Recommendation, Certification & completed Application</p> <p>MAIL APPLICATION PACKAGE TO: Jeffrey Sousa, Superintendent of Schools, P.O.
