Responsible for loading and unloading product for customers and vendors. Utilize the Sap computer system to prepare and ship product and receive product.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Operate forklift, read and follow directions, and respond quickly in a fast-paced production environment. </li><li>Perform the above within acceptable quality, quantity, performance and safety standards. </li><li>Use Epic Scanner for material movement in SAP and receiving of materials. </li><li>Transport materials and baskets to and from work cells as needed to maintain continuous production. </li><li>Basic computer transactions in SAP. </li><li>Employee must perform his/her job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks and applicable work instructions. </li><li>Overtime as required/requested. </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Load and unload trucks, dump scrap, move machinery, etc. as requested. </li><li>Perform safety checks and basic preventative maintenance daily on the forklifts. </li><li>Follow safety regulations at all times. </li><li>Ability to read, write and understand directions, shipping and receiving paperwork and complete lot forms, tags, etc. </li><li>This list may not be all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned by the supervisor. </li></ul> <p>CRITICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Must possess a high school diploma or GED </li><li>Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude </li><li>Must be able to acquire forklift license in timely manner which includes a medical certification by a Tenneco provided medical professional Knowledge of safety regulations </li><li>Ability to read an follow written and verbal directions and charts </li><li>Flexibility and ability to respond quickly to numerous requests and paging announcements </li><li>Alertness and awareness of surrounding activities in all directions </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Warehouse, Dock and Plant areas </li><li>Low lighting in certain areas </li><li>Varying temperatures (hot and cold) </li><li>Some exposure to outside weather conditions </li><li>Fast-paced work environment </li><li>High noise levels in some areas </li><li>Some constricted worked areas and pathways </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Extensive sitting with some pushing and pulling </li><li>Good visual ability </li><li>Good head, hand and foot motion </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Fast-paced </li></ul> <p>You are encouraged to 'Own Your Career' to maximize your development and reach your full potential!</p>
