ADUSA Procurement is part of the Ahold Delhaize USA family of brands, which also includes five leading omnichannel grocery brands - Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop.</p> <p>The Manager I Forecasting will oversee system demand forecasts and planning for assigned products, managing up to 10,000 SKUs across all stores at the item/warehouse/store/day combination level using statistical-based forecasting tools. This role ensures demand forecasts are integrated into legacy systems to drive store and warehouse replenishment while supporting vendor collaboration, display optimization, promotion planning, and event execution. The Manager I will manage and maintain forecast master data, seasonality patterns, product-to-event associations, and product lifecycle management for assigned product lines.</p> <p>As the primary point of contact for Stock Analysts and Demand Systems Specialists, this role will review sales trends, implement forecasting parameters, and conduct advanced statistical analysis to reduce forecast error and minimize manual adjustments. The Manager I will also analyze future variability in product movement - improving efficiencies, resolving root causes, and supporting procurement initiatives such as diverting, forward buying, and efficiency programs.</p> <p>In addition to strategic forecasting responsibilities, this role will directly manage a team of analysts, providing leadership, training, coaching, and mentorship. The Manager I will oversee their team's work, serve as the primary connection between the team and Demand Specialists, and ensure successful execution of seasonal, storm, and holiday planning, as well as future planning for SDP/DC store moves.</p> <p>This position will provide guidance and direct supervision for Analyst IIs and offer coaching support to Analyst IIIs within the larger team.</p> <p>Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD</p> <p>Essential job functions:</p> <ul> <li>Has ownership of specific desk forecasting through managing their team of analyst IIs. Is responsible for the desks their team has. </li><li>Responsible for ensuring Forecast & Replenishment (F&R) system forecast accuracy for assigned product line. </li><li>Use advanced statistical forecast accuracy analysis to reduce system errors and avoid manual forecast adjustments. </li><li>Resolve forecasting exceptions and perform daily root cause analysis of underlying issues to improve forecast accuracy for promotional and turn product. </li><li>Manage all Relex (F&R system) daily, weekly, monthly forecast workflows resulting in reduced systemic forecast error. </li><li>Partner with In Stock Analysts and Demand System Specialists to align trends and strategies in support of forecast accuracy. </li><li>Provide a forecast to vendor partners (private brands team) </li><li>Complete sales correction trouble shooting and analyze where the effective corrected sales are coming from when necessary, i.e. which sales correction type is the effective one (stockout, campaign or manual correction). </li><li>Collaborate with Category teams on Ad promotions, special programs and holidays. </li><li>Review Store and Distribution Center baseline forecasts and BIAS and troubleshoot any forecasts with low forecast accuracy or BIAS. </li><li>Review and, if necessary, update master data and/or parameters for Product that will be terminated. </li><li>Follow-up on and review the forecast for new store locations. </li><li>Directly mentor, direct, motivate and their develop team of analysts while maximizing individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively and achieve business goals. </li><li>Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Demand management practices. </li><li>Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Access </li><li>Working knowledge of Supply Chain processes </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Leading teams to solve small projects; developing others; training new hires. </li><li>Leading without authority </li><li>Supervisory/leadership skills </li><li>Oral and written communication skills </li><li>Presentation skills </li><li>Experience applying and developing statistical forecasts and demand forecasting. </li><li>Attention to detail; high-performing level of competency and ability to work independently as well as part of a group. </li><li>Advanced Excel </li><li>Leading teams to solve small projects. </li><li>Team player and collaborator </li></ul> <p>Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong Mathematical and Statistical aptitude </li><li>Ability to analyze and decipher large amounts of data. </li><li>Working knowledge of supply chain processes </li><li>Experience applying statistical forecasts and demand forecasting. </li><li>Extensive experience with forecasting & replenishment software </li><li>Ability to analyze complex problems and rule sets. </li><li>Ability to determine root causes and implement solutions. </li><li>Strong critical thinker, autonomous decision-maker </li><li>Ability to analyze complex problems and rule sets; Strong critical thinker, autonomous decision-maker. </li><li>Support training and coaching Analyst II & III's and assist in developing content/training for In Stock function. </li><li>Support development of department best-practices and deliver business insights and change management. </li><li>Manage large initiatives in terms of scope/complexity, value (Process and financial) </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics or related business field or equivalent relevant work experience </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>5+ Years </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Relex knowledge preferred. </li><li>Store Operations: Supply Chain knowledge preferred. </li></ul> <p>ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $92,640 - $138,960</p> <p>IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $106,480- $159,720</p> <p>Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions.
