<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>This position plays a crucial role in helping undecided students explore academic pathways that align with their interests, skills, and career goals. The Pathfinder will provide one-on-one advising, organize weekly programming events that highlight Schools of Study and degree programs, and assist with strategies that promote timely degree completion. This role emphasizes a student-centered approach, integrating career assessments, financial aid literacy, and a comprehensive understanding of MTC's academic offerings to empower students in their decision-making process.</p> <p>This position is located across varies Midlands Technical College campuses.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.</p> <p>Preferred: Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience in student services programs/academic advising or an achieved master's degree. The preferred candidate will have experience in student services within a community or technical college setting, including managing a caseload, leading student interventions, and leveraging technologies to document student support.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>The preferred candidate will have experience in advising technology platforms, such as Achieve, Colleague, and Student Planning and knowledge of student services. They will possess a thorough knowledge of MTC Policy and Procedures, as well as their functions, and uphold the standards of service excellence. Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to possess a high level of organizational and coordination skills. Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and independent initiative and judgment. Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and supporters</p>
