<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Certified Recovery Peer Advocate</p> <p>St. Peter's - SPARC</p> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge </li><li>Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development </li></ul> <p>What you will do:</p> <p>Certified Recovery Peer Advocates utilizing their recovery expertise and professional trainings to work with individuals who are considering treatment or are already enrolled in substance use disorder treatment programs. CRPAs will work with a diverse population with multicultural issues facilitating outreach utilizing their recovery expertise and professional training to boost individuals' engagement in treatment and commitment to recovery.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Using knowledge of admission criteria and resources provide information to the patients regarding options. </li><li>Work with Emergency Room Staff as well as the Detox Unit Staff to facilitate Admission Decisions. </li><li>Advocate, in a professional manner, for the patient seeking services. </li><li>Provide guidance to patients both being admitted or being discharged with next steps and options. </li><li>CPRAs also connect patients to community-based recovery supports consistent with treatment, recovery, and discharge plans. </li><li>Facilitate outreach as needed. </li><li>Non-clinical crisis support </li><li>Educating program participants about various modes of recovery </li><li>Accompanying clients to medical appointments </li><li>Raising awareness of existing social and other support services </li><li>Linking participants to formal recovery supports </li><li>Assisting with applying for benefit </li></ul> <p>What you will need:</p> <ul> <li>HS diploma or GED required. </li><li>Certified Recovery Peer Advocacy Certified according to OASAS. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $17.85 - $23.80</p> <p>Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
