IF YOU APPLIED IN THE PAST, YOU MUST RE-APPLY IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Assesses educational needs of incarcerated persons. </li><li>Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individualized assignments and training. </li><li>Provides instruction in fundamentals of electricity, using test equipment and residential, commercial, and industrial wiring and individual assistance. </li><li>Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators. </li><li>Maintains discipline and/or security and counsels students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems. </li><li>Attends variety of meetings (e.g., in-service training, treatment team, student interviews). </li><li>Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment figures, grades, student progress). </li><li>Inventories and orders supplies and materials needed. </li><li>Researches, selects and recommends new teaching materials. </li><li>Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Must meet eligibility requirements for Teacher Certificate/License appropriate for career-tech - electrical wiring & grade level as assigned*; Teacher 1, 71441, must also have baccalaureate degree or less per OEA agreement; NOTE: Applicant must successfully obtain Teacher Certificate or License prior to employment.</p> <p>Job Skills: Education, Electrical Trade, Developing Others, Emotional Intelligence, Cultural Awareness, Customer Focus.</p>
