As we look to expand our service offerings, we are seeking to add an Independent Contractor to our Workplace Safety Consulting practice who has subject matter expertise in Industrial Hygiene and Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credentials. This opportunity is for an Independent Contractor only and does not constitute an employment relationship. Independent Contractors must reside in the U. S. and be legally authorized to perform services within the United States.</p> <p>To be considered as an Independent Contractor, individuals must:</p> <ul> <li>Operate as an independent safety consulting business (e.g., sole proprietor, incorporated entity, or equivalent) </li><li>Provide services to multiple clients and maintain a non-exclusive consulting practice </li><li>Supply their own tools, methodologies, instructional materials, and business processes necessary to deliver services </li><li>Be responsible for all taxes, insurance, and business-related expenses </li><li>Provide their own computer, equipment, and tools necessary to perform services </li><li>Maintain appropriate professional liability coverage, as required under the contractual agreement </li></ul> <p>Travel requirements vary based on client engagements, audit needs, and training delivery, and are defined by project or statement of work.</p> <p>Type of Services Requested</p> <ul> <li>Provides expert advice, safety consulting and educational services to J. J. Keller clients on industrial hygiene programs and compliance, with an emphasis on exposure assessment, monitoring, and hazard evaluation. </li><li>Designs, develops, documents, and maintains training curriculum and instructional materials for general and client-specific applications. </li><li>Conducts industrial hygiene field assessments including air sampling, noise monitoring, and evaluation of chemical, physical, and biological hazards across various industries. </li><li>Plans and executes sampling strategies in accordance with OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and other applicable standards and guidance. </li><li>Analyzes sampling results, interprets data, and prepares clear, defensible technical reports summarizing findings, regulatory implications, and recommendations. </li><li>Communicates regulatory updates, recommendations, and findings to designated client contacts through reports, briefings, or presentations. </li><li>Provides advisory support to interpret regulatory requirements and practical application, without assuming responsibility for client compliance enforcement or ongoing operational oversight. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) required. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced experience conducting industrial hygiene assessments, including air and noise monitoring. </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and related industrial hygiene standards and guidance. </li></ul> <p>Other Skills/Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to Industrial Hygiene. </li><li>Proven history of providing independent safety consulting services within consulting and/or complex corporate environments. </li><li>Proficiency using business productivity tools (MS Office suite) necessary to deliver reports, presentations, and training materials. </li><li>Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and presentation </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with client representatives at all levels. </li><li>Maintains a high level of regulatory expertise. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of sales, marketing, and finance concepts related to operating an independent consulting practice. </li><li>Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle to perform required services. </li></ul> <p>We Protect People & The Businesses They Run</p> <p>J.
