<p>Overview:</p> <p>We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global Finance department.</p> <p>In this role, you will play an active part in providing accurate and data-based information on the company's performance and profitability, including researching and analyzing financial data.</p> <ul> <li>This position requires a hybrid schedule consisting of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office days in our Parsippany, NJ headquarters location.* </li></ul> <p>Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL DO</p> <ul> <li>Drive performance management with logistics teams through target setting and actuals tracking processes </li><li>Lead financial assessments for strategic initiatives such as investments, efficiency plans, and new customer biddings </li><li>Act as the right hand of business stakeholders, driving fact-based decision making </li><li>Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for multiple entities </li><li>Provide in-depth variance analysis and commentary to senior management </li><li>Coordinate and participate in monthly calls to review financial results and forecasts </li><li>Assemble quarterly consolidations and assist in the preparation of executive financial packages </li><li>Spearhead the quarterly rolling forecast process and consolidate final submissions </li><li>Coordinate and analyze forecasts, understanding site drivers, and challenging forecasts that deviate from trends </li><li>Collaborate and support other teams for new locations, new customers in existing locations, and contract renewals </li><li>Reconcile and validate financial data between various financial and accounting systems, with a preference for knowledge of data validation techniques </li><li>Demonstrate an appropriate understanding and/or working knowledge of financial statements and financial ratios </li><li>Assist in the consolidation and high-level analyses of regional/global financial data (Revenue, Expenses, EBITDA, Balance Sheet, Capex, Cash, SG&A) </li><li>Assist in the preparation of financial reports, charts, tables, and other exhibits as requested </li><li>Perform ad hoc financial reporting as needed </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL NEED</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting </li><li>5-6 years of experience in reporting, consolidation, financial analysis, and forecasting </li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint </li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of management </li><li>Excellent work ethic and strong organizational skills </li><li>Strong data and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment </li><li>Ability to manage large databases, query, and format retrieved data into meaningful reports </li></ul> <p>EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE</p> <ul> <li>Experience with financial and accounting systems </li><li>High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other BI applications </li><li>Knowledge of data validation techniques </li><li>Experience in the shipping/logistics industry </li></ul> <p>The starting range is between $95,000-$110,000 per year.</p> <p>Our industry-leading benefits and perks are designed to help you thrive in your career and your life outside Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
