<p>$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS</p> <p>Medical Assistant - 40 Hours - Days</p> <p>$2,000 Sign-on Bonus</p> <p>Eligible for Full-Time Benefits</p> <p>Shift: Days 7:00 am to 4:30 p. or 7:00 am - 3:30 pm No weekends.</p> <p>Some travel to off site clinics for flu shots and Fit testing will be required, but advanced notice will be provided.</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY:</p> <p>Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Aids with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties including completing the Return-to-Work authorization checklist and process for associates returning from a leave of absence. </li><li>Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. </li><li>Fulfills basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing. </li><li>Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.ing within the past five (5) years. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. </li><li>Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred. </li><li>Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred. </li><li>Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred. </li><li>EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred. </li><li>Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA/CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Health Career Associations Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), and National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <p>Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR</p> <p>Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR</p> <p>Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR</p> <p>Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
