<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervises security staff assigned to the transportation department. prepares work schedules and issues duty assignments.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervises the leave and attendance of subordinates.</p> </li><li> <p>Make sanitation, safety and security inspections of vehicles to make sure subordinate staff are performing their duties properly and safely, and that cleanliness and OSHA standards are maintained.</p> </li><li> <p>Trains subordinates, supervises and verifies the accuracy of scheduled formal counts; makes informal count when necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and submits written documentation when required.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts security checks/inspections for contraband control.</p> </li><li> <p>Studies and remains thoroughly familiar with current operational and administrative directives pertaining to minimum and medium/maximum security institutions for transporting reasons.</p> </li><li> <p>This position is for transportation.</p> </li></ul> <p>Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A high school diploma and relevant experience.
