<p>Session: Summer (May - August)</p> <p>Position Title: Intern - Park Naturalist</p> <p>Hiring Manager: Jody Moats</p> <p>Agency: Department of Game, Fish and Parks</p> <p>Location: North Sioux City, SD</p> <p>Minimum Salary: $18.83 Hourly</p> <ul> <li>APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER. </li></ul> <p>Position Description:</p> <p>The Naturalist Intern at Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve will help coordinate, create, and present environmental education programs for school groups, special groups and the general public. This position will be involved with the development of press releases, posters, Facebook page, and public service announcements. The Naturalist Intern will also help with visitor center needs such as cleaning, taking care of interpretive animals and staffing of the visitor center during the week and weekends. Additionally, this position may assist in coordination of special events.</p> <p>The courses that would be valuable to this position are Park Management, Biology, Ecology, Ornithology, Speech, Marketing, Outdoor Sciences and English. Experience in customer service, working with children and adults, and love for the outdoors is highly recommended.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply.
