"Making it better to be there since 1929."TM</p> <p>Located 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles, the Pasadena Convention Center is the premier meeting and events venue in the heart of Pasadena! Nestled in the Civic Center District, the Pasadena Convention Center accommodates meetings of all sizes with spacious exhibit halls, an expansive ballroom and over a dozen breakout rooms.</p> <p>We are currently seeking Starbucks Barista at the Pasadena Convention Center.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Greet all guests with a friendly smile; Honor guests by providing quick, friendly, and </li></ul> <p>personalized service.</p> <ul> <li>Initiate dialogue and develop rapport with guests by learning their names and favorite food and </li></ul> <p>drink items.</p> <ul> <li>Educate guests regarding menu offerings; Initiate suggestive selling and sampling of products. </li><li>Communicate guest comments to manager on duty, in a timely manner. </li><li>Adhere to all Company recipes and measurements; Provide top quality espresso shots for hot </li></ul> <p>and cold beverages, Produce superior product presentation in a consistent manner.</p> <ul> <li>Sell and serve baked goods and miscellaneous food items to guests. </li><li>Accurately processes transactions through the POS and correctly count back change to </li></ul> <p>guests.</p> <ul> <li>Follows all cash management policies and procedures to ensure accountability of company </li></ul> <p>funds.</p> <ul> <li>Maintains continuous communication with other staff functions (i.e. coffee bar, register etc.) </li></ul> <p>during peak business times.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Previous Barista experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Ability to participate in a team environment. </li><li>Ability to follow written and oral direction. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and independently. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate in the primary language(s) used in the workplace. </li></ul> <p>Other requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays. </li><li>Must be able to work in extremes of cold to heat. </li><li>Must be able to exert well-paced mobility to maneuver quickly among different areas of the facility. </li></ul> <p>Thank you for expressing interest in employment with Sodexo Live!
