Solid computer skills required; familiarity with the NY court system a plus. Excellent benefits.</p> <p>Duties include:</p> <ul> <li>assisting Information Services Director with tasks related to the electronic dissemination of materials to Commission Members; </li><li>providing support to administrative, investigative & legal staff in all office locations as it pertains to materials for Commission Members; </li><li>assisting Information Services Director with tasks related to Public Files and Records Management; </li><li>scanning documents; </li><li>Tracking documents and tasks; </li><li>preparing mail and shipments; </li><li>providing reception coverage; </li></ul> <p>and,</p> <ul> <li>other administrative, secretarial & clerical duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required skills:</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL and Adobe Acrobat Professional </li><li>Fast and accurate typing </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work </li><li>Integrity, honesty, trustworthiness and discretion </li><li>Patient and calm telephone manner in dealing with the public </li><li>Capable of working independently </li><li>Comfortable moving, sorting and scanning hard-copy documents </li><li>Occasional trips to the post office and/or other shipping locations will be required </li><li>Occasional overtime will be required </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree plus three years office experience.</p> <p>Additional Comments This position is eligible for full NYS benefits including: health, dental and vision insurance; pension plan; generous paid time off; etc.</p> <p>This position will be filled in either New York City or Albany.
